10: Module Wrap-Up¶
We have come a long way in this module in terms of Cyber Security Analytics. Take a moment to reflect on the module schedule and the topics covered so far.
Think about the topic areas that you may have known little about previously - data processing, machine learning, visualisation, SIEM, insider threat, malware analysis, text analysis - and now, think about the practical exercises that you have covered (both assessed Tasks and unassessed Labs) on these themes.
Masters Project¶
Hopefully this module has helped introduce CSA as an exciting and interesting area of cyber security research, and may have helped inspire your choice of Masters Project. You want to think about a tangible experiment you can conduct for your project - like identifying malware or threats on a system/network - like using DetectionLab or similar as an experimental cyber range.
